We are pleased to announce that Jenna Sutton, Class of 2022, has launched TGTHR, a website where teens can anonymously share their stories and experiences with depression, anxiety, suicide, self-doubt, and other struggles and where they can give and receive advice. TGTHR provides an online space for teens to share art, poems, pictures, and quotes.
TGTHR began as an idea two years ago when Jenna was searching for a resource designed by teens and for teens to share their stories and experiences with the mental health issues that an increasing number of teens face today. She didn’t find what she was looking for, so she decided to create it herself. Using Watershed’s Independent Study course option, Jenna pitched her idea. She soon realized that she was embarking on a large project! She did an Independent Study each term during her Junior year focused on this project. Beginning with research on mental illness in teens, she then moved on to research on web design and marketing strategies. The final product is a beautifully designed and easy to use website that provides supportive connections and curated resources for teens related to the most common mental health concerns they face today.
TGTHR has been picked up by National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Boulder and listed on their teen resources page. TGTHR is maintained by Jenna and not directly related to or monitored by Watershed School.
