College counseling

Watershed prepares students for college and to take on the world's greatest challenges. When you graduate, you'll be ready for what's next.

what sets watershed apart

“Watershed fosters terrific confidence in its students and allows them to develop great academic agility and a deep interest in learning. While we see students applying from nearly 4,000 high schools each year, the majority feed into a sea of normalcy that defines many applicant pools—Watershed is one of those few that really stands out.”

- Matthew Hyde, Assistant Director of Admissions, Tufts University

“At Pitzer, which is a member of Claremont Colleges, we have a specific take on the types of students we’re looking for. Watershed is pretty much an exact translation of what that student looks like in high school.”

- Natalia Duran, Assistant Director of Admissions, Pitzer College

In recent years, Watershed students have earned offers of admission from many colleges, including schools designated as “most competitive” by the Barron’s Guide, for example: Cornell University, Colorado College, George Washington University, Macalester College, Oberlin College, New York University (NYU), Pitzer College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Wellesley College, Whitman College.

our process

Watershed School offers a comprehensive, multi-year college counseling program to guide students through the complex college process. We help students identify colleges and universities that match their unique personalities, strengths, interests, and needs; and we help families through the application process.

100% of Watershed graduates earn admission to college. Equally important, Watershed School empowers students to make a difference in their local, regional, and global communities with an academic curriculum that examines transdisciplinary topics in-depth in collaboration with community partners. Watershed students develop the skills and habits needed to understand and contribute to solutions for today's most relevant problems. This is education that directly supports students in making an impact today, in college, and beyond.
