Who Is the Class of 2021?

The class of 2021 will hold a place in history as the class that spent its entire senior year under global pandemic conditions. The challenge of this fact must not be underestimated, nor the grit and flexibility required of this class under-appreciated. Yet, Watershed’s class of 2021 is more than this and will be remembered for so much more than any historic marker!

The Class of 2021 is comprised of 15 remarkable individuals many of whom have been learning and adventuring together since middle school! They’ve been described as passionate, seekers of justice, loyal friends, joyful, welcoming, hardworking, caring, effervescent, intellectually curious, compassionate. They are artists, scientists, athletes, writers, activists, scholars, musicians. This group has traveled the country and the globe, leaning into wherever they go and whatever they do. They share memories of countless counsels, appreciation circles, advisory games, expedition and skills classes. Their memories include dancing and singing in the rain with ukulele accompaniment; baking bread and dancing in their Icelandic host’s large, warm kitchen; watching the sun rise and set in the Andes.

This is a group of people who have left their mark on Watershed, making our school a better place through their compassion and care for each other and those around them. On May 28, Watershed will graduate 15 seniors. We’ll say goodbye to them as Watershed students and welcome them into Watershed’s Alumni community.
