The Watershed School Annual Fund supports nearly 10 percent of the school’s operating budget each year, helping bridge the gap between what tuition covers and the actual cost of a Watershed education.
The kind of education we provide — highly personalized, and with a focus on real, relevant and rigorous connections to the world — is expensive. Your support is vital to our continued ability to offer an outstanding education. The design of our educational program is supported by research, and our successful outcomes have been verified by our students’ excellent performance on the College and Work Readiness Assessment, a standardized measure of critical thinking, reasoning and writing.
Like most established independent schools across the country, we invite Watershed families and friends to make the school a philanthropic priority. As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of our extended community to help enrich the lives of our students, inspiring them to be bold thinkers and engaged citizens. Tax deductible gifts also make a Watershed education accessible to families with wide-ranging financial means.
What kind of gift is needed?
Gifts of any size make a difference. Your generosity allows us to strengthen our educational program each year, and to attract and retain our amazing teachers and staff members. We are happy to accommodate supporters who wish to spread their donation over several months, or pledge to provide a gift at a later date.
Watershed School has been fortunate to have a high percentage of staff, board members, families and friends participate in our annual fund each year. By maintaining or exceeding our past level of community support, we are able to make a stronger case to foundations and major donors that Watershed School is deserving of their additional support.
In 2010-2011 our Annual Fund gifts ranged from $25 to $25000. No gift is too small or too large!
All Annual Fund gifts are fully tax deductible.
