Elyse was born in Maui, Hawaii, and has lived in some of the most beautiful places, including Aspen and Breckenridge, CO, Lake Tahoe, NV, and Naples, FL. She has called the front range home for the past 23 years. Elyse attended and received a BA in Psychology from CU Boulder, and received a doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. During that time, she was lucky to attend a doctoral externship with JFK Partners and the University of Colorado, Denver in autism and developmental disabilities, after which she certified as a clinical psychologist. Elyse has enjoyed working in many different school settings, serving children from preschool to high school. She maintains a private practice where she is able to work with children and families in our community from all walks of life.

Elyse enjoys spending time with her beautiful family, her husband of 15 years and their young daughter. When they travel they tend to find themselves exploring tropical and beach locations, including Kauai, French Polynesia, and the California coast. They love spending time in the outdoors, enjoying the beauty of Colorado, and exploring this wonderful state. Elyse also loves to read, bake, and still enjoys arranging flowers, which was a job she had from high school through college.

Elyse’s areas of focus include:

  • Assessment and evaluation in ASD, ADHD, TBI, and learning disabilities

  • Collaboration and consultation with school staff and personnel

  • Advocacy and family support in the schools

  • Explicit instruction and training in executive functioning skills

  • Working with comorbid conditions including anxiety, depression and self-injurious behaviors in adolescents and teens
